Production By Ga. 4-H Club Members Doubled In Year

ATHENS, Ga. -(SNS)-

The Georgia Agricultural Extension Service reported Friday that colored 4-H Club members have doubled production of feeder calves this year.

P. H. Stone, state extension agent, said club members already have fattened and sold 216 feeder calves, compared with 100 sold in 1938-'39.

Ten of the calves were home-grown, while 206 were purchased through the facilities of Georgia banks. The largest return to feed and labor-$169.63-came from a home-raised calf.
