DEER HUNTING SEASON OPENS TOMORROW.

The big game season opens tomorrow and already the woods are full of men getting ready for the chase on the opening of the season at midnight. Camps have been constructed and parties organized.

The light snow coming as it did Wednesday makes for an ideal hunting season and there is no doubt that all who go to the woods will return with game. Deer are very numerous this season. The larger number of the local hunters left during the past few days to get things in readiness for the chase. Many are in the Stoney country and many others are in the country north of here and in the Burntside territory.

Assistant Commissioner Chas. W. Henke has issued a letter to the press of the state in which he gives a few facts regarding the hunting of deer and which he says:

"The big game season in Minnesota will open on November 20, and continue for eleven days, to November 30th inclusive.

"One deer is permitted to each license.

"On Executive Orders by Governor Christianson the following counties have been closed to deer hunting during the season of 1926.

"Ottertail, Morrison, Chisago, Winona, Houston, Douglas.

"In Itasca county, under Executive Order by Governor Christianson, the one-buck regulation has been placed in effect. This means that only male deer, not less than one year old, may be taken, and the killing of does and fawns is forbidden."
