Full Text

The London Times thinks that the victories recently gained by the Federals will lead to a separation and peace between the Northern and Southern States. The London Times is a great blockhead, and a false prophet. It has always persisted in misrepresenting the North and the Union cause. Its editors display great ignorance on American affairs, and are prejudiced and bigoted. In speaking of the taking of Fort Henry they call it "the capture of an earthwork on the Tennessee river," and say, "even if it be followed by the capture of the stronger fort up the river Constantine," &c. Who ever heard of the river Constantine, in Tennessee?
