Portsmouth, March 29.

At the Annual Meeting of the Freeholders and other Inhabitants of this Town last Monday. The following Persons were chosen to their respective Offices, viz.

Hunking Wentworth, Esq; Moderator.

Mr. John Penhallow, Town Clerk,

Select-Men; Messrs John Langdon, John Dennet, Andrew Clarkson, Samuel Penhallow,

Capt. William Knight.

Overseers of the Poor; Messrs Jacob Sheafe,

John Penhallow, James Stoodly, Esq:

Auditors: William Parker Esq; and Mr. John Sherburne.

Assessors; Hunking Wentworth, Esq; Doctor Daniel Rogers and Mr. Thomas Hart.

Clerk of the Market: Mr. John Griffith.
