Full Text

We hear from BELGRADE, that several Spies have been taken up there, who unanimously report that the Turks are not yet in a Condition to assemble their Army, for want of Forrage. They add, that an Imperial Detachment has carried off a great Quantity of Cattle which the Infidels were driving to Zwornick.

A Captain in the Imperial Army, who, under Pretence of Sickness, has obtained Leave of Count Wallis, to come back to this City, having taken the Road to Turkey, was stopt a few Days after and brought back to Belgrade, in order to take his Trial, it being strongly suspected that he design'd to engage in the Grand Seignior's Service.

The Emperor was very much surpriz'd a few Days ago to find several Officers at Luxembourg whom he thought were already in the Army: his Imperial Majesty signifi'd to them, that he thought their Presence very needless at his Court, and order'd them to set out immediately for Hungary, upon Pain of being cashier'd.
