Full Text

Local and State Matters.

That Band—The citizens of Bradford were favored with some very nice music, Wednesday evening last, by the Band, who appeared on the streets in torch light procession, with their new set of instruments. We understand that their set is now complete, having this week received the last, all from the manufactory of Messrs. Slater & Martin, of New York City, who are classed among the best Band instrument manufacturers in the country. If we are any judge, Bradford can boast of as good a Brass Band as there is in New England. Will not some of our enterprising inhabitants take the matter in hand, and erect a Band Stand suitable for evening out door concerts, so that the Band will not be obliged to stand in the street while favoring the citizens with their music?
