One of the most delightful musical entertainments that Pleasantville folk have had the opportunity to hear in many a day occurred Tuesday evening last in Hubin's Theatre. The idea was conceived by Mrs. Victor Jagmetty, who was untiring in her efforts, especially in the arranging of an attractive program, in which she was exceptionally successful and for which she deserves all praise. Every number was enthusiastically received by the audience which comfortably filled the large theatre and encores were necessary in each instance. All the numbers were very difficult, and they were rendered in a manner that showed the performers to be artists of rare ability. So well did each singer and player do his or her part that we do not feel competent to report their efforts individually. It is the opinion of The Pleasantville Press that our city has talent of which we should be proud and which cannot be excelled in the large cities. The proceeds which were for the benefit of St. Mark's Church, netted $200. The stage was attractively decorated with potted plants, ferns and draperies and presented a most pleasing appearance.
