Aid The Teachers
Higher Education our slogan.
I make this statement without fear of any sane man contradicting it. Because if it were not true why do parents send their children to school? I do not mean when I say higher education, college education alone, any education means higher education. I want to say that your vacation is now over, but did you visit any of the Summer Normal Schools and see how hard the teachers were working, that they might be worth more to you as a teacher, and more to the youth or the land as a teacher? I have visited the different schools in Columbia (which is required of any one pursuing the Normal course) and I find that the teachers there as well as in Chesterfield county, need the appreciation, support and encouragement of the patrons and trustees.
May every one feel that he or she is a part of the student body and work for and in harmony with your teacher or teachers.
