NEWPORT, Sept. 23.

So universal a Change in the Departments of Government at Home, was scarcely ever known. there being above one hundred of the Nobility and Gentry included in it.

A Gentleman of veracity and knowledge, in England, writes, that he is assured, from undoubted Authority, that the new Ministry are determined to be very favourable to the colonies, in particular with regard to the extension of their commerce.

This day the gentlemen who are appointed commissioners from this colony, for the intended congress to be held in the city of New-York, are to set out for that Place.
