DOMESTIC.

BOSTON, DEC. 6

The Macedonian and Lord Cochrane.

We take pleasure in informing the public that Mr. John S. Ellery, owner of the Macedonian, received a letter yesterday morning from the Hon. John Q. Adams, Secretary of State, informing that he had submitted Mr. Ellery's letter, and the documents accompanying it, to the President, and that the President had directed him to inform Mr. Ellery, that a public vessel of war would be dispatched immediately, to demand justice, agreeably to the laws of nations.

Thus will foreign nations be taught, whether they belong to the old world or the new; whether they stile themselves royalists or patriots, that justice to our citizens and respect to our flag, is what the United States will enforce and command.--Patriot.
