CONGRESS.

At the last date from Washington, the debate continued in the House of Representatives on the constitutional question involved in the case of Colonel Anderson. Considerable talent has been displayed on the occasion, and, it was doubtful in what manner the question would be decided. Mr. Burrill's motion relative to the Slave Trade met with some opposition, but was finally adopted, after having been supported at some length by the mover.

The Colonel Anderson whose case is now pending in Congress is an Englishman, residing on the River Raisin. He was sutler to the British army at Fort Miami, when General Wayne defeated the Indians at that place. He is said to be a very worthy man.
