Chicago, March 17.—In a bill filed in the superior court yesterday for a receiver for the Pacific Loan and Homestead association it is charged that DeWitt C. Butts, who until last summer was secretary of the association, is a defaulter, and has appropriated $232,000 of the funds of the association. The bill is filed by Bessie A. Woods, one of the shareholders of the association, and she alleges that the concern has been wrecked by officers who wasted its resources.
