October 30. We hear that the ingenious Mr. Benjamin West, of Panton Square, having signified his Inclination to paint the Martyrdom of St. Stephen, to be placed in the East Window of St. Stephen's, Walbrook, the Reverend Dr. Wilson, the Rector, eagerly embraced the Opportunity of engaging so celebrated a Painter, and desired Mr. West to accept 150 Guineas from him, to show the high Esteem he has for the ornamenting of Churches in general, and particularly a Church where he has been so long Rector.

Mr. West has been pleased to accept this as a Present, not at all adequate to so noble a Design.
