CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Among visitors present at a reception given by Lodge 991 in honor of its retiring president, Frank J. Barrett, were Vice-President J. P. Cahill; O. E. Wood, field supervisor; H. H. Stough, general chairman on the Big Four: C. T. Bell. general chairman on Cleveland Union Terminal: Tom Proctor, local chairman, Lodge 275, Sharonville; Bob Finnell, local chairman, Lodge 950; W. J. Schrichte, president, and Irvin Wade, local chairman, Lodge 958, and Guy Fain, Lodge 504.
Frank J. Barrett retired from active service with the Big Four recently and at the same time resigned the presidency of Lodge 991. He started his railroad career in 1905 and worked for various railroads until he joined the Big Four in 1922, where he remained until his retirement.
Barrett first joined the BRT in 1913 and was instrumental in obtaining the charter for Lodge 991 in 1937, and served as its president from the time it was organized until he resigned. He had also served as vice-president and president of Lodge 148.
After interesting talks by Vice-President Cahill and other guests, Barrett was presented with a purse in appreciation of his services.
