From a gentleman just in from the Wood River country, who has traveled over most of that portion now being mined, we learn some interesting particulars. The mines on Little Wood river are showing up so well that considerable interest has been excited in that direction. The Solid Muldoon, owned by T. E. Clohecy and Jesse Elliott, is looking well, and another valuable mine, the Riptoe, owned by Mr. Riptoe, Fred. H. Meyers and L. C. Karrack, give fine promise of becoming mines of great importance. The West Fork, on Warm Springs Creek, being worked by Colonel Green, has an immense body of ore in sight and on the dump. The Star mine, in the Little Smoky district, is being worked, and the showing is so good that a stampede thither is likely to follow. Our informant claims that at no time have the mines looked so well as now, and that the country was never before in as prosperous a condition.
