Two outstanding foreign students—Neuma Aguiar of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, second from left, and Nehemiah Chukuzube Adimora of Nnewi, Nigeria, right—arrived at Boston University and began classes September 18. American students serving as hostesses to the foreign pair are Diane Peterson of Manchester, N. H., left, and Joyce Laverty of West Scarborough, Me. Miss Aguiar, who will study for a master's degree in industrial sociology at the Graduate School, is one of 11 Latin American students receiving scholarships to U.S. colleges and universities this year from the American General Federation of Women's Clubs. The Massachusetts Federation of Women's Clubs contributed $1000 towards Miss Aguiar's scholarship. Mr. Adimora, a sophomore at the College of Liberal Arts, is one of two African students who this year received the first full-tuition scholarships established solely for African students at the University.
