COMMODORE EWING'S BOAT MAKES FASTEST TIME

Commodore William H. Ewing, of the United Boat Club, of this city, is being congratulated on the showing of his motor cruiser Gniwe in the race from the Camden Motorboat Club to Ship John Light and return on Saturday for the T. Coleman du Pont trophy.

Gniwe was the only Wilmington boat in the 110 nautical mile race, and also was the scratch boat.

While Gniwe finished fourth, it made the fastest time of the contest, 12 hours 21 minutes and 18 seconds, the next best time being 12 hours 49 minutes by the crack Camden cruiser Jennie S.
