ROBBED.

Dr. Gridley was robbed of $23 on Thursday night while on his way to Appleton. He left this city on Thursday afternoon with a horse and buggy intending to reach Appleton that night.

He stopped for a short while at Reedsville and then went on his way. A few miles beyond Reedsville he was stopped by three men one of whom held his horse, another presented a pistol and in true bandit style requested the doctor to hold his hands up. while the third canvassed the pockets of the victim. Mr. Gridley was so taken by surprise that he offered no resistance, and as the night was dark he has no clue by which the men could be identified. He left his horse at Brillion and proceeded to Appleton by rail. He is not anxious to repeat his experience with the gentlemen of the road.
