CONTRACT LET
For the Trolley Line to Granville On West Side.
Dean and Hoffman Will do Grading-
Union Utility Company Will do the Rest of the Work-New Bridge may be Built by County and Trolley Company.

Dean and Hoffman will do the grading for the trolley line from West Morgantown to Granville. The Union Utility company will place the ties, lay the rails and ballast the track. They are now stringing the wires which will conduct the power.

Mr. E. M. Grant was asked today about a rumor that there was some trouble over right of way through West Morgantown. He stated that there was nothing in the report. "We will use the pike from the bridge to our road leading to the brick yard and go down that."

He was asked about the bridge which will cross the river in order to make connections with the line in town. He said that the company had not decided the details in connection with this. It is probable that either the railroad company or the county court will be asked to join with the trolley company in building the bridge.

The old suspension bridge is getting into such a shape that it will have to be replaced with something better.

In case the court will join with the trolley company a combination bridge for wagons and cars will be built. This may be done at much less expense to the county than would be incurred in case they decide to go ahead and build an independent bridge for us. It may be that the railroad company will offer better inducements to the trolley company to combine with it than the county may concede.

In any event it will be some time before the final and definite decision is made. In the meantime the trolley line will be built to Granville this summer.

The rails have been ordered and are expected as soon as they can be made.
