ATLANTIC CITY, October 13.—Frederick Kushensmen, aged about 43 years, proprietor of the New York House, Michigan and Atlantic Avenues, fatally shot himself while gunning on the beach below the Excursion Houses this morning.

He was driving in a light express wagon with his gun beside him, when the weapon, which was cocked, slipped from the seat, and, the hammer or trigger striking, it was discharged while the muzzle pointed directly toward Kushensmen.

The entire charge entered his breast, causing instant death.
