The Convention.
We have room only to say, this morning, that the Convention at Fitchburg, yesterday, was one of the largest, most spirited, harmonious, and enthusiastic political conventions ever held in Massachusetts. There were more new men in it, fresh from the old parties, than have been in any Free Soil Convention since 1848. The nominations were made with great unanimity, and the body separated with a general feeling among the members, that the blessing of a kind Providence rested upon the cause, and of determination to press forward to Triumph and Victory.
