GERMAN SUBMARINE
BELIEVED TO BE DUE

(By Associated Press.)

WESTERLY, R. I., Sept. 26.—The tug Westerly, of the Westerly Towboat company, left here last night on a mission understood to be connected with the expected arrival of a German merchant submarine. Frank H. Robinson, captain of the tug, who was said today to have received instructions from T. A. Scott Wrecking company of New London to proceed to Montauk Point, N. Y., to assist in towing a submarine to New London, declined to make any statement as to the destination of this vessel.
