Did He Commit Suicide?
Mr. Frank McDonald of 30 Munjoy street, picked up on Custom House wharf, about 1.30 p. m., yesterday, a business card. On one side of the card was printed "Benjamin F. Campbell, practical tin-roofer, No.412, North Fourth street, Philadelphia. On the reverse side this was inscribed: "The finder of this card will please publish in the Philadelphia Record that I, Benjamin F. Campbell of No.2249 North 26th street, Philadelphia, Pa., is tired of this life, and who through my disappointed hopes have committed suicide by drowning myself from the pier. Good bye all, and may God have mercy on my soul." BENJ. F. CAMPBELL.
The card was handed to Deputy Sterling, who has as yet neither discovered the body or a clue to the suicide.
