Full Text
From among the documents connected with the Seminole war, recently laid before Congress, we have selected for early publication, that relating to the point which has engaged most of the public attention, though it is not first in the series—the Proceedings on the Trial of Arbuthnot and Ambrister. We were in hopes to have been able to have given the whole of this document to-day; but our limits will not embrace it. With the result of the trials, our readers are acquainted: the remainder of the Proceedings of the Court will of course be given in our next. After which is concluded, we shall commence the publication of the Documents which constitute the History of the Campaign against the Seminoles.
