First Graders In Christmas Program

At chapel Wednesday, December 20, the entire first grade had part in a delightful Christmas program.

Santa Clauses, reindeer, and Christmas trees dotted the Christmas snow banked just behind the footlights. At each end of the stage was a large Christmas tree.

Footlights threw a red light on the big picture of Santa driving his reindeer.

The welcome was given by Carroll Tate, and the Christmas story from Luke was given by Mary McDonald, Bailey Cain, Willard Wylie, Patsy Self, Audine Ainsworth, Melton Loftis, Elmer Keith, Myra Dunkin, and Robert Hicks.

Christmas poems were given by Billie Driskell, Sandra Snell, Dudley Pounders, Curtis Leslie, Margaret Box, William Terry, and Bobbie Harrell. A delightful play, "Christmas In Many Lands," was the feature of the program. Characters of the play were Spirit of Christmas, Bobbie Ann Branch; Santa Claus, Roy Parkinson; Children of Norway, Jan Derrick and B. Y. Brassell; Children of Denmark, Glenn Hays and Jackie Durham; Children of Holland, Suehy Ja O'Briant and Joe Atwood; Children of England, Royce Ann Smith and Marion Mansell; Children of Hungary, Betty Breazeale and Eddie Strahan; Children of America, Shirley Pritchard and Bobbie Cain.
