WORCESTER, February 24.

One day last week a number of men who have been concerned in the rebellion, to the amount of near 200, most of them unarmed, met at Greenwich, they belonged to that and the neighbouring towns--it is said they met with a view to consult on means for their safety; but on intelligence being received that a party of Col. Newell's regiment were on their march, they dispersed.

We learn from Berkshire, that the report concerning the misconduct of Gen. Paterson is without foundation. Many turbulent fomenters of the rebellion, and those who joined it in arms, are taken up; all privates, and those who acted as non-commissioned officers, who deliver up their arms, and take and subscribe the oath of allegiance, are liberated. Others who have been aggravatedly guilty in spreading sedition, and those who have acted as commissioned officers, are committed for trial by the laws of their country.--Many of the principal leaders and abettors have fled into other states; but, from the assurances government has got from such states as it has applied to, we learn, that they will not have any protection granted them, but be delivered up to the authority of this state. Shays and some others, it is supposed, are making their way to Canada; his wife and children past through Northampton last week, on their way to Bennington escorted by a brother in law of Shays's. Provision is made for paying the army who have been in service for a month past, also for that now raising. The General Court has passed the disqualifying act, and the Governor agreeable thereto, has published a proclamation, setting the time for all those who intend to benefit themselves by the proffered mercy conformable thereto, to come in and accept of it.
