Full Text

About 11:20 last Friday night the large
livery stable located just north of the
hotel and owned by R. H. Baird was
discovered to be on fire, and in almost
an instant the flames enveloped the
whole building and before anyone could
get out and do anything the fire had
gained such headway that it was an impossibility to do more than try to save
the hotel and depot, which was successfully accomplished. The fire started
very suddenly, springing up like a blast.
Things look very much as though some
firebug was getting in his work. Only
two weeks before the Hustler office and
home, together with the blacksmith
shop, two dwellings, a barn and a coal
and wood house were burned.-Hermosa
