Cold Fridays.—Within the last eight years we have had three days which have appropriately been distinguished by the appellation of cold Fridays, from the intense degree of cold weather which prevailed. The first occurred on the 19th January, 1810, when the mercury in the Thermometer was 14 degrees below zero. The second was on 14th February, 1817, when it sunk to 18 degrees below 0. The third was on Friday the 30th ult. when it descended 22 degrees below zero, one degree lower than has been noticed in this place for the last twelve years.
