The above is a list of the names of those members of Congress from Ohio who voted AGAINST the proposition so to amend the U. S. Constitution as to exclude the election of President from the House of Representatives: consequently, they prefer the system of "INTRIGUE, BARGAIN and MANAGEMENT," described in the circular of the CLAY Committee in Kentucky, issued previous to the last Presidential election.
The above named all voted in the H. R. for John Q. Adams as President. The aggregate of votes given for President in Ohio was as follows: for Henry Clay 19,255; Andrew Jackson 18,489; John Q. Adams 12,280.
