Art Demonstration Given By Mrs. Gould

Mrs. Vina Gould, coming to the Marion City Schools through the co-operation of the State Department of Education, gave several demonstrations of art teaching in the various schools of the Marion City Administration Unit, according to an announcement made by Hugh Beam, superintendent.

Mrs. Gould visited and worked with the Marion City Schools last Tuesday and gave effective demonstrations in the teaching of art. Mrs. Gould stressed the value of finger painting and demonstrated the various applications of crayons and water painting. The teachers and pupils who had an opportunity to see the work of Mrs. Gould were very enthusiastic with the instruction received and with the results that can be obtained.

Mr. Beam stated that it is possible that Mrs. Gould will be back in Marion schools before the close of the present season. A tentative schedule will bring Mrs. Gould back to Marion during the latter part of May.
