Stresses Japanese Fish Menace

Congress was appealed to recently by Senator Homer T. Bone, Democrat of Washington to take a "positive stand against the invasion of American fishing waters by the Japanese." Senator Key Pittman, Democrat of Nevada, supported the appeal of Senator Bone.

The Nevada Senator, who is chairman of the foreign relations committee in the upper branch of Congress, urged the approval of Senator Bone's resolution, which is before the Senate and which states it to be the policy of the United States in the salmon fisheries that the special rights of the United States in the salmon fisheries of Alaskan territorial waters should be upheld by the Department of State.
