CHICAGO, July 10—The Wilberforce-Tuskegee fight for supremacy for the past three years a Chicago grid morsel, will again be contested here, according to Robert A. Cole owner of the American Giants baseball club, and Clifford O. Starks who promoted the battle at Mills stadium last October.
The Chicago Defender learned the true facts in the case early this week when both Cole and Starks were pressed for statements.
"We are not so sure," Said Mr. Starks, giving evidence of holding back the true state of the progress made toward securing the game. But Mr. Cole was less conservative and admitted that he and associates would again handle the promotion.
At Giants' Park
The game will be played in Cole's park, located at Thirty-ninth and Shields. Last year fandom had to go west to Mills stadium for the sports event and the two years previous to Soldier field. Both are too far from the Southside for successful promotion of an all-Race event, however.
The first year Tuskegee won the game 6-0 and then tied the Ohio Institution at 6-6 in the second meeting, but last year Wilberforce shattered the tradition and came out on the long end, 15-6. Fumbles played a conspicuous part in all three contests and actually prevented Ohio from scoring a scoreless win last season.
