THREE CHARGES OF MURDER ARE SET ON DOCKET IN POLK

COLUMBUS, Jan. 29.—Superior court opened in Polk county Monday at Columbus with Judge Will Pless, of Marion, presiding and District Solicitor C. O. Riddings, of Forest City, prosecuting for the state.

On the docket are 29 cases for violations of the prohibition laws, eight for assault with deadly weapons, three for breaking and entering, three for murder, and a number of minor cases, making a total of 84.

Bill Coley will be tried for the alleged murder of Will Miller, negro, of Pea Ridge; Ralph Peak, negro, will be tried for the alleged murder of Floyd Canady, negro; James Howell, negro, will be tried for what is claimed to have been the accidental death of Clyde Henderson, a respected citizen of the Green Creek township.
