Daughter Prevents Mother's Suicide

No reason can be given for the desperate attempt at self-destruction which was made by Mrs. Mollie Reno, 34, of 21 High street, who yesterday evening tried to swallow the contents of a bottle of carbolic acid, but was frustrated in the attempt by her 17-year old daughter, Lillian, and knocked it out of her hand. She is now in St. Vincent's hospital where it is said her condition is favorable.

Her daughter received severe burns on the right arm during her struggle with her mother. Her burns were dressed at the Emergency hospital by Dr. Frank E. Gavlas.
