From Canal Zone
Washington, Feb. 9.-(U.P.) The
Army air corps late today announced the arrival of nine air bombers of the G. H. Q. air force
in Miami at 3:30 p. m., after an
1100-mile nonstop flight from the
Canal Zone. An amphibian escorting the bombers arrived at
4:35 p. m.
The nine bombers came to Miami in direct course from the
Zone, westerly of Jamaica and
across Cuba. The flight was made
in the course of a round trip
flight from Langley Field, Virginia, to the Canal Zone, for
navigational training and general
demonstration of one aspect of
air defense of the Canal.
The flight thus far has been
"very successful," officials said.
The bombers tomorrow will continue to Langley Field.

Aside from minor bruises, none
of the four persons in the ship,
piloted by Lieut. Eugene P. Mussett, was injured.
