The several volunteer corps of this city convened early on the anniversary of the Irish Revolution, Sunday last, in the most disciplined and manly way—forces numbered in all. Separate corps at their several posts they afterwards joined the general parade at St. Stephen's Green, at two o'clock and they fired three volleys, from whence they marched through the city to the Mall, where being formed in a line they again fired three volleys, and were then addressed by the commanding officer to the following effect:
Gentlemen and brother Volunteers
You've now assembled on the Lord's day, to commemorate an unprecedented act of your creator—he rendering freedom to France, the most glorious event ever secured in any age or country. You have just fired three volleys with the utmost exactness, in honor of the occasion, and now will wave your hats and caps, and give three cheers, taking the time from your officer, and may the people of Ireland and Great Britain, France and Poland united erect the standard of Liberty in every country in the world.
