PEN ARGYL, Pa. -- A large attendance turned out for Lodge 734's recent meeting to welcome a former member, George C. Schlenk, Lodge 587, Springfield, Mass.

Schlenk joined the BRT in 1911 in Lodge 734 and his continuous membership made him eligible for a 40-year pin, which was presented to him at this time by John F. King, ORC member and only surviving member of the crew who worked with Schlenk when he started railroading on the L&NE at Bath, Pa.

Also present was his brother, John R. Schlenk ORC member working on the Lehigh Valley.
