Fort Jefferson.

Rev. Berry is holding protracted meeting at Jaysville.

Mrs. Mollie Stubbs is selling her household goods and expects to leave for California in the near future.

E. V. Schlechty and wife are spending a few days with relatives at Bradford.

The teachers' meeting held at this place last Wednesday evening was well attended and some very interesting questions discussed.

Charley Bubenmayer and wife spent Sunday with Frank Michael and wife south of Savona.

Earl Grovenor of Baker Store was the guest of Garnet Schlechty Sunday.

Misses Bessie and Roxy Viets of Dayton and Miss Gladys Viets of Savona spent Saturday and Sunday with their grandparents at this place.

Mrs. James Stewart is on the sick list and Mrs. J. W. Viets is convalescing.

The infant child of Nate Patterson and wife of Savona was buried in the cemetery at this place Sunday afternoon.

Omer Harter and family of near New Madison visited at James Stewart's Sunday.

Chris Baum is taking a five mile walk every morning for his health.

Mrs. Lide Bennett returned last week from an extended visit with her daughter near Sidney.

Aaron Britton of Monticello, Ind., is spending a few days with J. Wesley Viets and wife.

Mrs. Belle Sentman is quite poorly at her home west of town.

Ray Wise and wife are moving into the Lease cottage on West Main street.

A very interesting time is enjoyed by those attending the meetings held at the Township House every Tuesday evening. The programs are very interesting, in the way of debates, mock trials and Congress. Fort Jefferson can furnish some prominent lawyers and able speakers. Everybody invited.
