Nineteen members of the Jewish Community Center were elected to its board of directors at the annual meeting held Feb. 1. Chosen to serve three-year terms were Sam Block, Hyman Gelfand, Ben Gross. David Gubermian, Dr. Jack Hausman, Joseph Horwitz, Ed Korrick. Harry Liebhaber. Morris Meckler, Herman Miller, Cecil Newmark. Ivan Raden, Dr. Sol Shapera, Morris Turken and Harvey Weinstein. Dr. Louis Becker and Saul Mintz were elected for two-year terms. Mrs. Jessie Rarback and Nat Rheingold were chosen to serve one year.

The members also elected the following as honorary ex-officio directors: Col. Louis Himelstein. Sam Hoffman and Rabbis A. L. Krohn, Philip W. Jaffa, Morton C. Fierman and Harry Schectman.

Reports were given by Maurice D. Brown. president: Albert Firestein, youth committee chairman; Ed Korrick. athletic committee chairman; Sol Jaffee, membership chairman; Jack Dunn, treasurer, and Mrs. Ruth Marks, vice president.

Awards were presented to the Center teen-age varsity basketball team for outstanding accomplishment. Teen-agers who received the awards were Marty Alpert, Tom Adler, Eddie Burns, Louis Goldstein, Mike Milkes, Rocky Rochford and Stuart Schoenberg.
