Tax Bill Hearings On Friday, Sept. 28

Readers are reminded of the hearings on the new Tax Bill which will take place at Government House in Christiansted tomorrow at 2 o'clock.

There appears to be a difference of opinion between the Governor and the Legislature on the time that the bill should be retroactive. The Gov. says July, the Legislature says Sept.

The News earnestly hopes the differences will be ironed out to assure sanction & approval of the law especially as the money therefrom is so much needed.
