SELECTING THEIR DELEGATES.
Churches Are Preparing to Send Representatives to Duluth Convention.

Arrangements are being rapidly completed by the copper country Protestant churches to send delegates to the Wisconsin - Minnesota - Northern Michigan laymen's missionary convention, to be held in Duluth 22 to 24, inclusive.

It is expected that at least 20 delegates will be in attendance from the copper country, that number having already signified their intention of endeavoring to be present. Special rates are to be arranged for over the South Shore road.

The Hancock Congregational church has announced to the local secretary that it will send as its representative L. E. MacDonald, and the Lake Linden Congregational church has named John Mitchell as delegate from that church.

A. V. Snell, secretary of the Duluth convention, has wired the local secretary that already more than 1200 tickets have been disposed of for the big banquet on Friday evening of this week, and it looks as if this will be one of the biggest gatherings the Zenith city has ever been called upon to entertain.

The local delegates from the copper country will leave Thursday evening on the night train, out of Calumet at 10:15, and return Monday morning, arriving in Calumet at 6:30 a.m. This will mean that only two working days will be taken up by the convention.

Following the convention, there will be a meeting in the local Y. M. C. A. some evening next week, when a report of the proceedings will be laid before the laymen's missionary co-operative committee of this section.
