Full Text

The Creation of Man.—A lecture was delivered last evening, by the Rev. Mr. Wiggins, at the New Jerusalem Church, on "The creation of man, in accordance with laws and principles analogous to those which prevailed in the creation of the material universe." It was scantily attended. The Rev. gentleman minutely examined into and compared the animal and vegetable kingdoms; at the same time entering, at great length, into one continued chain of abstract reasoning in support of his proposition, an outline of which, of convenient length, would be both impractical and unprofitable. His object appeared to be to establish a universal analogy of creation, both material and spiritual. He concluded with a religious exhortation.
