DISPATCHES TO THE GAZETTE.

FROM WASHINGTON.

CONGRESS.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13.—In the Senate Mr. Johnston presented the memorial of Geo. H. Day, of Smythe county, asking the removal of his political disabilities—referred.

Mr. Thurman introduced the joint resolutions of the Legislature of Ohio, in opposition to further land grants to railroads.

A number of other memorials and reports were presented.

The House of Representatives was engaged in the call on States for resolutions, &c.

Nothing was introduced from Virginia or having reference to that State.
