STATEWIDE BLOOD PROGRAM ENDORSED

The state department of health gives its wholehearted endorsement of and will cooperate in every possible way with the Connecticut State Blood Program soon to be placed in operation. The primary object of the program is to provide whole blood and its derivatives to doctors and hospitals where and when needed for the people of the state. A cooperative undertaking, the Connecticut State Medical Society is to provide medical supervision and control: the American Red Cross will procure blood donors and financially support the project.
