CONNECT UP WATER MAINS.

Water Department Is Preparing to Hook On to the New Gravity System Next Monday.

Water Superintendent Knight, with a force of men Monday afternoon, will connect water mains on Rose, Touchet, Idaho and Sumach street with the mains laid for the new gravity system. Touchet and Idaho streets will be connected to the 16 inch main and Rose and Sumach to 10 inch mains recently laid.

Consumers in that part of the city were notified today that water on the north side of Mill creek east of Palouse will be shut off from 1:30 to 4 o'clock Monday afternoon while the connections are being made.

The water department has been notified that the gates for the new pipe line have been shipped. As soon as they arrive and are installed water in the new system will be turned on.
