Dear Mr. Pottinger:
Just a few lines to let you know I am fine.
All last week we were very busy working on the Thanksgiving meals. We worked day and night and were short on our sleep. By Thursday we were all in.
Then came Saturday, and the bi-monthly dance at the T.O.Q. About four of us worked there till 2:30 a.m.
Last Sunday I saw the Los Angeles Bulldogs beat the San Diego Bombers in a Coast League professional football game.
Thursday a big forest fire broke out again near here. The cause of the blaze is not determined yet. It blackened 3200 acres of brush, trees and grass. It jumped highway 395 and was fanned by high winds. Marines and soldiers from around here aided in extinguishing the flames.
Am sending you our base paper, The Log. On page three is the menu we had on Thanksgiving.
How's dear old Nogales?
Best regards to all from Bobby Briggs, Efrain Pegueros and
