BARRE, July 17.—If he complies with the conditions of probation imposed by Magistrate H. W. Scott in municipal court yesterday, James Supple, 38, convicted of furnishing liquor illegally, must purchase a thrift stamp each week until the end of the year. During good behavior and while his pile of thrift stamps is growing bigger, Supple will remain on probation for a year. Otherwise a sentence of three months in the county jail will become operative. For the present Supple will purchase his weekly stamp from a rural mail carrier, for he promised the judge that he would enroll as a haymaker at once.
