BROOKFIELD, May 6.

A nest of counterfeiters have been lately discovered in Ware, Greenwich, &c. four of whom, viz. David Ambur, Ebenezer Young, Thomas Blackner and Oliver Newton, were convicted at the Supreme court held last week in Northampton.

Blackner was on Monday introduced to the post, and saluted with twenty stripes —Young, passed yesterday thro' this town under an escort, on his way to the castle, where he has received an appointment for three years. It is said they have been concerned in this infamous business for several years.
