The Secretary, Treasurer and Comptroller of the State have given public notice that they have canvassed the votes for Sheriffs in the several Counties, all the returns being in, except from Wallingford and Sherman, and that the following gentlemen are elected: Gilbert Allen, Hartford Co.; Charles W. Curtiss, New Haven Co.; Starr Ferry, Fairfield Co.; John Gallup, 2d, Windham Co.; Albert Sedgwick, Litchfield Co.; Linus Coe, Middlesex Co.; Simon House, Tolland Co. In New London Co. there is no choice.
