His Recent Visit
To Jackson, Miss.
Rev. Robinson is a native of Copiah County, Miss. Born south of Brookhaven, Miss., the son of Annie and Perry Robinson Sr. Mr. Robinson is a Martin Father Rudolph Martin of a little village city Martinsville, Miss. He also has a brother, Fred Martin of Wesson, Miss., a sister, Mrs. Emer Cook of Jackson, Miss. The Rev. Robinon left the south at an early age from Wesson in 1909, 43 years ago, lost from a brother, Perry Robinson Jr. of Wesson, Mr. Robinson is visiting his people in this city. Mrs. J. T. Woodson of 202 Whitfield St. Mrs. Maggie Homes of 244 Sidway St. Mrs. Ora J. Brooks, 225 E. Cohea St., Mrs. Sallie Thomas, 945 Lamar St., Jackson, Miss. All of the above names are first cousins of the Rev. James P. Robinson of Elkhart Ind. Mr. Robinson aside from his church work, he is a public speaker, devotes much time to the N.A.A.C.P. The order of the I.B.P.O.F.W. and that of the Prince Hall affiliation F.&A.M. The G.U.O. OF. O.F. He devotes much time to the Democratic Party over his state also to the welfare of the race. He is president of the Elkhart Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. one of the best in the state. He has preached in Brookhaven, Wesson, Martinsville, Hazlehurst, and also Jackson since visiting his people Feb. 14th. He will leave this city Monday March the 16th for Peoria, Ill., where he will visit a son from there to his home about April 1st. While visiting his kin folks in this city he was the house guest of the Rev. and Mrs. J. T. Woodson, 202 Whitfield St. Mr. Robinson is visiting Jackson State College and many other.
